Role Overview
A local transport service in Redditch is looking for compassionate and reliable drivers to assist with special needs transport. This part-time role is ideal for semi-retired or retired individuals who already hold the necessary qualifications to work as taxi drivers. Drivers must have existing taxi driver qualifications and meet council requirements, with additional free training provided to support their role.
Key Responsibilities

• Transport passengers with special needs safely and responsibly to various locations.
• Provide excellent care and assistance to ensure a comfortable and secure journey.
• Adhere to all council and transport regulations and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with passengers and support staff.

Requirements

• Must already hold valid taxi driver qualifications as per Redditch Council regulations, including:
• Completion of the Redditch Council Taxi Driver Training (day course, driving assessment, and medical evaluation).
• A clean UK driving license (PSV license holders are highly encouraged to apply).
• A clean Enhanced DBS check.
• Willingness to complete additional free training, including:
• Safeguarding
• Passenger Assistant Training
• First Aid
• Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and punctuality.
