Children's Residential Support Worker - Therapeutic

Location: Harlow
Salary: £11.60 p/h - £12.30 p/h, 40 hours per week (£24,182.00 to £25,584.00)
Plus an opportunity to earn an additional £3,000 per year through; sleep-ins at £50 per night and additional overtime rate (Please note sleep-ins are not guaranteed).
Full UK Driving License is required.
We are looking for Children’s Residential Therapeutic Practitioner to become a part of our family home and caring for our children and young people with some complex emotional challenges. You will need to be dynamic, patient, empathetic and to be understanding during the times of difficulty and have the ability to inspire to grow and flourish. The role can be emotionally and physically challenging, however you will have a positive impact upon the child / young person.

As a Therapeutic Practitioner you will:
· To provide a safe and loving home for children and young people.
· To provide children and young people with support to flourish and reach their full potential.
· To build safe and nurturing relationships with the children and young people.
· Empower children and young people to make positive choices.
· Work alongside professionals that support the children and young people.
· Working alongside colleagues in a team around the children.
· Good communications skills with our children and young people, your colleagues and professionals that work around the child.
· Transferable skills from other sectors are welcome.
· Ability to remain calm through challenging periods.
