Job Overview:
As Assistant Farm Manager you will assist and deputise for the Farm Manager at our breeder Farm in Driffield. You will normally work with your birds, organise farm administration, work equipment and monitor site contractors at all times. The ideal candidate will have a passion for agriculture and possess the necessary skills to manage farm activities effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise farm staff, providing guidance and support where needed
- Ensure that the welfare of the birds is adhered to at all times
- Day to day observations of birds and necessary paperwork
- Maintain up to date records as per Red Tractor Scheme standards
Skills:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Computer literate
Experience and qualifications:
- Experience in the poultry industry is essential for this role
- NVQ Level 2 in Poultry Production
