1:1 Teaching Assistant

Our schools are small, friendly and successful village schools with an excellent ethos for learning. You will join a successful, supportive and friendly team of professionals who all achieve high standards in academic and personal development and where the children are happy, well-motivated and enthusiastic learners. Applicants will require a relevant NVQ 2 or equivalent, experience of working with SEND children and recent primary school-based experience of supporting children within this age group. As well as supporting academic learning, the role will involve nurturing the social and behavioural development of the children.
Duties include:
- Act in accordance with school policies and procedures and relevant legislation, particularly in relation to child protection and behaviour management.
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Have high expectations of all pupils and strong behaviour management skills
- Participate in the preparation of the indoor and outdoor learning environments
- Be able to motivate and inspire a love of learning in all pupils.
- Promote development and learning (physical, emotional, educational and social) - fostering growth, independence and building self-esteem
- Carry out reasonable daily personal care/hygiene duties and administer basic first aid.
- Assist with the movement of children in and around the school.

Pay: Up to £17,436.00 per year
