Role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to create a vibrant and engaging learning experience. This is an exceptional opportunity to develop classroom skills and gain insight into the teaching profession.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with lesson preparation and providing classroom support in Year 2, mainly with a student who has autism
- Delivering one-on-one and interventions to support student progress
- Helping manage classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive environment
- Supporting extracurricular activities such as after-school clubs and lunchtime supervision
- A graduate with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for primary education – ideal for those with aspirations of a PGCE
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and adaptability
- A commitment to the role until July 2025 and availability to start immediately
