The Industrial Robotics & Automation (IRa A) subdivision within the Soft Serve Robotics Group specializes in developing and integrating advanced robotic systems for various industrial applications. IRa A’s mission is to innovate solutions for complex automation challenges, focusing on robotic arms, end-effectors, and humanoid robots to enhance industry precision, productivity, and efficiency.

IF YOU ARE

• Familiar with C++ and Python programming, with a foundational understanding of Linux environments and a desire to deepen these skills
• Interested in robotics, including robotic arms, end-effectors, humanoids, and automation systems
• Knowledgeable about fundamental robotics principles, including sensors, actuators, and control systems, and eager to learn more about how they integrate within industrial applications
• Pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills, a solid mathematical foundation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Having a basic understanding of inverse kinematics, path planning, motion control, robot dynamics, trajectory planning, collision avoidance, and sensor fusion is beneficial
• Demonstrating familiarity with commonly used tools like ROS, Move It2, Gazebo, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Docker, and Git is beneficial
• Experienced from projects, lab work, or internships, particularly in robotics or automation, is beneficial
• Capable of communicating effectively and work well within a team
• Possessing at least an intermediate English level
