About Us
NICDAM is an educational development trust registered as an NPO and PBO, with a focus on developing programmes to assist government and development within communities. Our programmes strive to strengthen and develop the skills of people/communities and to promote social behaviour change over the widest possible spectrum, but mainly in the health and social development space.
NICDAM is appointed by USAID to implement the “Children, Adolescents, and Families in the HIV Epidemic in the Free State Province (CAFHE)” in the Thabo Mofutsanyane and Lejweleputswa districts in the Free State province.
NICDAM seeks to appoint a Senior Clinical Services Manager.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic senior clinical manager (Professional Nurse) to oversee the planning, coordination, and monitoring of all health service activities across both districts. S/he will be responsible to lead and oversee the successful delivery of all health services components of the “Children, Adolescents, and Families in the HIV Epidemic (CAFHE) in the Free State Province”.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving strategic capacity development, supervision of district health project staff and mentoring of fieldworkers to be appointed in the project, while ensuring government stakeholder alignment and clinical health capacity development. S/he will bring a strong health services perspective, vision, and strategy on achieving the goal and objectives of the project.
This position requires technical leadership, planning, and team management skills to ensure the programme is delivered with measurable impact. S/he will develop clinical service plans, ensure the effective delivery of healthcare services, and coordinate with medical staff and local health facilities. The Clinical Manager will also monitor the quality of care provided, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and protocols. This role is crucial for maintaining high-quality clinical services within the project.
S/he will work closely with the social services and field worker teams and coordinate joint activities, monitor progress, and ensure the quality and effectiveness of services delivered. Additionally, s/he will provide capacity building for local teams and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
The Clinical Services Manager will report operationally to the NICDAM management and the Chief of Party, have regular communication with the NICDAM management and NICDAM technical team.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of the health care services components of the programme, ensuring alignment with project goals.
· Jointly develop and manage programme roadmaps, timelines, and budgets.
· Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that may impact programme delivery.
· Implement and promote best practices in programme management methodologies.
· Regularly report on programme progress, milestones, and outcomes.
· Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the programme team.
· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
● Must have a South African Nursing graduate qualification.
● Holds a current SA Nursing Council registration.
● Has a minimum of 5 years of OVCY program experience.
● Previous experience in PEPFAR-funded activities will be an advantage.
● Demonstrated ability to develop and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including NGO partners and Government Institutions of South Africa at all levels.
● Demonstrated written, presentation, communication, and organizational skills in English.
