Business Intelligence Analyst

You’ll start working for a Retail service company, stepping into a role focused on harnessing data to drive insights and support decision-making processes across the organization. You'll engage with various data sources, tools, and technologies to contribute to the development and maintenance of Business Intelligence solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across the development life cycle, from gathering requirements and communicating with users to designing, developing, and testing products
- Assist with data solutions, data modeling, and understanding ETL pipelines and dashboard tools
- Work closely with team members to draft technical specifications, including documentation
- Contribute to strategies aimed at enhancing data modeling, quality, and architecture
- Play a proactive role in ensuring data quality through load checks, process monitoring, addressing alerts, investigating complaints, conducting data quality checks, and reporting performance issues
What are we looking for:
- Strong experience with SQL (T-SQL)
- Complete understanding of ETL processes
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS
- Familiarity with Data Warehouse concepts and Data Modeling principles (e.g., Star schema)
- Exposure to BI Tools (Micro Strategy or Power BI preferred)
- Good communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively
- Capacity to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment
Nice to have:
- Exposure to other ETL tools like Spark (Databricks) and Azure Data Factory
- Basic understanding of Analytical Data Bases, such as OLAP Cubes
- Some knowledge of database administration and optimization
- Awareness of software development practices like source control, CI/CD, etc.
