Job Title: Sous Chef
Location: Doha, Qatar
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the Executive Chef in maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, quality, and kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in menu development and seasonal menu planning
- Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation
- Oversee food preparation and ensure consistent quality of dishes
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
- Enforce sanitation and safety standards
- Fill in for the Executive Chef during their absence
- Coordinate kitchen operations and resolve any operational issues
- Participate in food plating and preparation
- Ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Culinary degree or relevant certification
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in kitchen management software
- Food Handler Certificate is a MUST
