Description

What you'll do:

• Assist in managing the procure-to-pay (P2P) process by ensuring timely and accurate procurement of materials and services necessary for solar project construction while adhering to budget and project timelines.
• Collaborate closely with procurement team members to identify and address material and service needs, ensuring a consistent and efficient supply chain for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Support the procurement team in coordinating with estimating and project scheduling teams to ensure accurate forecasting and timely procurement aligned with project schedules.
• Facilitate clear and effective communication between project managers and subcontractors, specifically regarding procurement related queries, schedules, and requirements.
• Manage purchase order creation, change orders, and invoicing practices to ensure compliance with internal policies, accuracy in documentation, and resolution of discrepancies to facilitate a streamlined P2P workflow.
• Read, interpret and understand all project documentation such as insurance, permitting and project scheduling.
• Utilize critical thinking to overcome supply chain related challenges to maintain procurement schedules.
• Assist managers in cost savings through vendor negotiations, market analysis, and eliminating waste.
• Maintain a culture of continuous improvement and problem solving.

What you'll need:

• One-two years minimum of procurement experience in related field.
• Proficiency with reading blueprints, plans, specs, contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficiency with Procore, or similar construction management software.
