Creating a new Telenor growth company
Telenor Linx combine telco and software competence, capabilities and assets, to maximize revenues on the existing portfolio while at the same time creating a platform for innovation and growth. Managing the relationship with key vendors and suppliers is an essential platform for growth.
As Head of Sourcing you will be responsible for managing all interactions with key vendors that supply goods and services to Telenor Linx in order to maximize the value of those interactions. The position is a part of a cross functional team of experts including security, privacy, legal and compliance, placed within the Legal & Compliance department. We are a supportive team, and there will always be someone to discuss matters with – large and small.
We are looking for someone who can rapidly absorb complex technical and commercial requirements, as well as possessing the softer skills of communication, listening, negotiating and change management – all critical to developing strong and trusting working relations with suppliers. You will have the opportunity to work alongside multiple departments in Telenor Linx across multiple geographies and will be a key partner for the Technology Department.
What are the essential functions and areas of ownership?
You will follow up suppliers across a broad range of matters including procurement, contract (re)negotiations, performance review and cost control, as well as supplier compliance to Telenor’s supplier conduct standards, all the way building strong and sustainable relationships with these suppliers. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and identify yourself as a team player. Despite being a support function, you are someone who is passionate about business in addition to own subject matter expertise.

- You have excellent technical understanding; telecoms knowledge is an advantage.
- You have solid experience from supplier/vendor management.
- You build great relationships both internally with colleagues, and externally with suppliers.
- You have a degree level education in economics, IT or Engineering, or other relevant degree. Relevant experience may compensate.

Job location: Telenor Fornebu (HQ). Some travel to supplier locations around the world might be expected.
