Veterinary Doctor (Veterinarian)
Job Summary:
The Veterinary Doctor is responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries, and conditions in animals. This role includes providing preventive care, performing surgical procedures, and educating pet owners on animal care and health management. The veterinarian will uphold the highest standards of care and compassion in line with the clinic's values.

Job Summary:
The Veterinary Doctor is responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries, and conditions in animals. This role includes providing preventive care, performing surgical procedures, and educating pet owners on animal care and health management. The veterinarian will uphold the highest standards of care and compassion in line with the clinic's values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medical Care:
- Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and behavioral issues in animals.
- Administer vaccinations and prescribe medications or treatment plans.
- Perform routine and complex surgical procedures.
- Conduct physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., blood work, X-rays).
- Preventive Care:
- Provide wellness check-ups and preventive treatments.
- Educate pet owners on nutrition, exercise, and general care practices.
- Offer advice on disease prevention, parasite control, and vaccination schedules.
- Client Communication:
- Explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-care requirements to pet owners.
- Handle sensitive situations with empathy, such as end-of-life care decisions.
- Team Collaboration:
- Supervise and mentor veterinary technicians and assistants.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure the clinic runs efficiently.
- Clinic Administration:
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and safety standards.
- Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
- Licensing: Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Nigeria.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in performing surgeries and using diagnostic tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate approach to animals and their owners.
- Full-time position with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies.
- Exposure to animals of various sizes and temperaments.
Pay: From ₦120,000.00 per month
