Job Position: Mechanical Engineer
Job Location: Agbara, Ogun
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance & Optimization: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical equipment used in food production processes.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with production teams to enhance machinery performance, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all mechanical systems meet safety, health, and regulatory standards, maintaining compliance with food industry regulations.
- Technical Support & Documentation: Provide technical support, conduct inspections, and maintain accurate records of all engineering activities and repairs.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and maintenance teams to implement effective solutions for ongoing production challenges.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-8 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of food manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train and mentor junior staff.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., Auto CAD, Solid Works) and familiarity with industry-standard maintenance tools.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Industry Impact: Play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production processes in a leading food manufacturing company.
