Job Summary :As Finance Manager you will be responsible for managing the financial operations, reporting, and compliance. This role involves overseeing all aspects of financial planning, reporting, cash flow, and regulatory compliance while providing strategic guidance to drive financial success. Working closely with teams in Kenya and the US, you will be instrumental in aligning financial processes and establishing streamlined operations.
Your Responsibilities…
Financial Planning, Reporting, and Analysis
- You will prepare comprehensive financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to support timely decision-making.
- You will lead the consolidation of company accounts across Nigeria, Kenya, and the US.
- You will conduct detailed financial analysis, creating dashboards to evaluate and report on financial performance.
- You will provide insights into business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare financial forecasts and budgets.
- You will oversee day-to-day financial operations, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger.
- You will establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and SOPs to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- You will manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
- You will drive automation in financial systems to improve scalability and accuracy, keeping abreast of the latest financial tools and software to enhance finance operations.
- You will implement solutions to accurately track inventory within financial systems, ensuring streamlined operations.
- You will monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs and optimizing working capital.
- You will develop and maintain dashboards for cash flow planning and forecasting, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- You will oversee receivables and collaborate with suppliers to establish credit terms where applicable.
- You will ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, regulatory compliance, and adherence to both Nigerian and Delaware accounting standards.
- You will lead the external audit process, acting as the primary liaison with auditors and addressing any findings or recommendations.
- You will identify potential financial risks, implementing controls and mitigation strategies to protect the company’s financial health.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, with a background in reporting, financial operations, and compliance.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in financial planning, reporting, and cash flow management.
- Proven ability to implement and manage financial policies, processes, and systems, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proactive approach to cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with tax regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements in Nigeria and Delaware.

Experience:
- financial management: 6 years (Preferred)
- reporting, financial operations, and compliance.: 5 years (Preferred)
