Position Overview
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance and Reconciliation Officer to oversee financial reconciliation processes, ensure accuracy in financial records, and support overall financial operations.
- The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting decision-making through accurate data management.
Reconciliation:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of accounts, including bank accounts, ledger entries, and payment systems.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all financial records.
- Prepare and submit regular reconciliation reports to management, highlighting trends, issues, and recommendations.
- Assist in generating financial statements and audit schedules.
- Monitor and verify financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all reconciled items.
- Identify inefficiencies in reconciliation processes and propose solutions to enhance accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with teams to implement best practices in financial operations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring reconciliations are completed and discrepancies resolved.
- Work closely with the accounting and finance teams to maintain general ledger accuracy.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate and up-to-date reconciliation records.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAN) are a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in reconciliation, accounting, or finance-related roles.
- Experience with financial software and reconciliation tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Quick Books, Bank-one, Power BI, SQL).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation techniques.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for identifying discrepancies and patterns.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving reconciliation and financial issues.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
