At Sime Motors Commercial, we're seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to take the helm of Motor Truck Distributors (NZ) Limited. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the sales and distribution of Mack and Volvo Trucks - two of New Zealand's most iconic and trusted brands in the heavy transport industry.
As a strategic thinker and charismatic leader, you'll have the chance to shape the future of the company, driving growth and maximizing market share. You will play a key role in empowering your people leaders, and cultivating and strengthening partnerships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders; all while ensuring the brand's prominence in the marketplace.
In this high-impact role, you'll report directly to the General Manager of Sime Motors Commercial Sales and oversee the full distribution and sales strategy for Mack and Volvo Trucks and Buses. You'll be the face of the brand, meeting regularly with key decision-makers to ensure the business objectives are met, while identifying opportunities for innovation, growth, and customer satisfaction.

Our ideal candidate will have the following key skills and experiences:
- Senior management experience in Sales Management.
- Strong leadership qualities with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management, ideally at Manufacturer Distributor level.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Good negotiation skills and customer service skills.
- Has high motivation, energy, discipline, and presentation skills.
- Experience in the transport industry is desirable but for the right person not essential.
