We are currently seeking to employ a Business Unit General Manager - Planned Works to our team based in Wellington. In this role, you will you will successfully manage the negotiating, securing, and executing of designated customer works to ensure they are strategically bid, won, and delivered. To achieve target or better programme, budget, safety, quality, and customer service standards.

The successful candidates will work on key responsibilities like:

• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent for optimal resource deployment.
• Build capability and engagement to maximize client service delivery.
• Ensure workforce competence through structured training programs.
• Forecast demand and align resource availability accordingly.
• Drive profitability by managing costs, timelines, and corrective actions.
• Deliver accurate, timely reporting and ensure contract compliance.
• Oversee major project planning, risk management, and successful execution.
• Uphold legal, regulatory, and governance standards for the Business Unit.

Qualifications and Skills
To be considered, you will have:

• 10+ years leading large, complex teams in dynamic environments.
• Expertise in people performance and current industry trends.
• Strong planning, financial, and operational skills.
• Proficient in Click Scheduler, Workbench, and customer feedback tools.
• Business-savvy with a results-driven, customer-focused approach.
• Holds a tertiary qualification in electrical engineering/electricity supply; leadership/HR qualification preferred.
