About the role

The End User Computing Specialist (EUC Specialist) is responsible for delivering expert-level support and guidance to end users within the organization, ensuring optimal performance and high user satisfaction in a Citrix, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace environment.
This role involves advanced troubleshooting, resolution of complex technical issues, and proactive enhancement of the user experience by developing and implementing best practices. The EUC Specialist also collaborates with other IT teams and architect(s) to optimize system configurations, manage software deployments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
The core responsibilities are as follows;


In your role within System Maintenance & Optimization, you are responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of Citrix and Microsoft 365 environments. You not only carry out regular maintenance and updates but also proactively monitor system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly, providing users with the best possible experience. When complex issues arise that cannot be resolved by second-line support or UEC Engineers, you take charge and quickly find a solution.
In terms of Security & Compliance, you are on the front line of security. You implement the latest security measures within Citrix and Microsoft 365 environments, from endpoint protection to data loss prevention and identity management. Additionally, you ensure that everything complies with company policies and relevant regulations. You advise on necessary improvements to maintain the highest standards of security and compliance.
When it comes to Automation & Scripting, you streamline processes by developing and managing intelligent automation scripts. This simplifies tasks such as user provisioning, system imaging, software deployment, and updates. You use tools like Power Shell, Citrix Studio, and Microsoft management tools to handle complex automation tasks with ease.
You also take the lead in Project Management & Collaboration. Whether leading projects for system upgrades, migrations, or implementing new technologies, you ensure everything goes according to plan. By collaborating with other IT teams, such as networking, infrastructure, and security, you help deliver a cohesive and consistent IT service.
Finally, you understand the importance of knowledge sharing. Through detailed Documentation & Knowledge Sharing, you carefully maintain everything from configurations to procedures and troubleshooting guides. This ensures that your team always has the right information and can continue to perform at a high level.

What are we looking for?

You will be part of a dynamic and international organization where you are constantly challenged in a complex IT environment. Additionally, you bring the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, equivalent advanced professional experience (equivalent to HBO level);
  
• Advanced certifications in Citrix (e.g., Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization), Microsoft (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are highly desirable.
  
• Additional certifications in advanced networking, security (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)), or project management (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP)) are a plus.
  
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in an End User Computing role or a similar IT specialist (senior) position.
  
• Extensive experience in managing complex Citrix and Microsoft (Office 365) environments.
  
• Extensive experience in complex Enterprise IT environments.
  
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks and projects effectively.
  
• Proactive and highly capable of working independently while also excelling in a collaborative team environment.
  
• Be willing to perform evening and weekend works and on-call 24x7, including weekends and holidays, to support critical systems and ensure minimal downtime.
  
• Experience working in high-demand production environments is preferred, with a focus on industries with complex IT needs and critical uptime requirements.
  
• Strong commitment to continuous learning and advanced personal and professional development, staying current with evolving technologies and best practices in the field.
  
• Occasional travel to remote sites may be required to support various facilities, participate in advanced training programs, or engage in (high-priority) projects.
