Hughes Farming is currently seeking to recruit a Quality Controller (QC) to join our team. This role is a key part of our process, and the successful candidate will work in a team-driven environment.
Principle Purpose of Job:
Manage quality duties, quality systems, food standards and liaise with the quality team leader and management on procedures and tools required to achieve and maintain high hygiene, quality and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· To ensure full implementation of a Quality Management System and Food Safety policies and procedures.
· To actively manage quality and food safety compliance.
· To ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures.
· To establish and manage a control system that ensures the required daily, weekly, monthly, and annual procedures are correctly implemented and on schedule.
· To advise and promote best practice standards throughout the operation.
· To carry out regular hygiene audits.
· To manage housekeeping and cleaning duties.
· To monitor the use of personal protective equipment within the branch.
Skillset
· Previous experience in a similar role desirable
· Competent knowledge of Quality Assurance concepts, techniques, audit practice and emerging development
· Strong communication skills
· Qualification in HACCP /Food Safety Management is desirable but not essential
· Excellent organisational skills
· Good computer skills
You will be required to work closely with the other members of staff and provide support where necessary.
