What functions will you perform?

ID Energy Group is currently looking for Head of Wind to reinforce its regional team based in Budapest.
Reporting to the General Manager Hungary & SEE, our new colleague will be responsible for leading the strategic development of the wind portfolio of the company in the region. The main focus will be to lead the development of existing wind portfolio of the company in the Hungarian market.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the wind energy industry, including project development and a strong understanding of energy markets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the wind energy strategy in alignment with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
• Oversee the growth of the company's wind energy portfolio, identifying new opportunities for project development, investment, and partnerships.
• Direct the end-to-end process for wind farm development and permitting efficiently cooperating with other departments of the company.
• Serve as the primary spokesperson for the wind energy business unit within the organization and externally with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other key stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders including local communities, government agencies, energy utilities, and investors.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, public hearings, and meetings.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and industry standards.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact wind energy.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in the renewable energy sector.
• Proven track record in successfully developing large-scale wind energy projects in Hungary or abroad.
• Extensive knowledge with wind turbine technology, grid connection, regulatory frameworks, and energy markets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in English and Hungarian (written & oral)
• "B" type of driving licence
• Expertise in stakeholder management, with a strong understanding of community relations and governmental policies.
• Deep understanding of wind resource assessment, environmental impact analysis, and permitting processes.
• A forward-thinking and strategic mindset with a passion for renewable energy.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making capabilities.
