Responsibilities

• Coordination of Transports: Managing the transport process from start to finish, including planning and arranging trucks to transport goods.
• Documentation: Drafting and checking transport documents, such as consigment notes and customs documents.
• Communication: Function as a point of contact for customers and carriers; Maintaining good relations with all stakeholders.
• Problem solving: Identify and solve logistics problems that may arise during transportation.
• Rate negotiations: Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding related to transport and logistics

Requirements

• Education: A bachelor's degree in logistics, transport management or a related field is required.
• Experience: Demonstrable experience in the logistics sector, preferably in a position as a freight forwarder or transport planner.
• Language skills: Good command of Dutch, French and English is a plus.
• Skills: Strong organisational skills, problem-solving ability and excellent communication skills.
• Focus on Process Improvement: Strong interest and experience in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the transport operations to increase
• Computer skills: Good knowledge of logistics software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Customer focus: Strong customer-oriented attitude with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
