About the Role
RN-1 As a Registered Nurse in this position, you will provide high-quality nursing services across various health service settings, working with a dedicated team to deliver compassionate care to patients. This role offers a unique opportunity for nurses to transition from novice to proficient practitioners, allowing you to consolidate your clinical knowledge and enhance your skills in a supportive environment. Through continuous professional development and hands-on experience, you will build the expertise needed to provide exceptional care while ensuring your practice meets the highest standards.
At this level, you will take full accountability for your own nursing care, demonstrating leadership and responsibility in all aspects of your role. You will also manage and supervise the activities delegated to other team members, contributing to a cohesive and effective unit. This position is ideal for nurses looking to expand their capabilities, take on greater responsibility, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in your care.
RN-2 As a Clinical Nurse (CN) within the Mental Health Care Program (MHCP), you will provide specialised mental health nursing care across a range of settings, applying your consolidated experience and/or further study to enhance patient outcomes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to progress from competent to proficient practice through ongoing professional development. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards in your own clinical care, while also overseeing the activities of less experienced staff and guiding their growth in the field.
While the CN role is primarily clinical, you may also be involved in a variety of portfolio responsibilities aligned with your career development and MHCP priorities. This could include participating in clinical teaching, research, or contributing to broader MHCP initiatives such as developing clinical protocols, guidelines, or process mapping. If you're looking for a dynamic role where you can influence practice, mentor others, and engage in innovative projects, this position will offer you a fulfilling and rewarding pathway in mental health nursing.
