Senior System Administrator

- Design and implement robust infrastructure solutions (Azure) that align with business needs and best practices.
- Monitor and manage cloud services, primarily within Azure, to improve, system stability, system performance and proactively optimise capacity and scalability.
- Monitor and manage the ECQ network to ensure reliability and system performance.
- Implement security measures to protect systems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with peer technology teams to integrate and optimise technology platforms across the organization.
- Create and maintain clear documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting, adhering to operational standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior system administrator/ engineers, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Keep up to date on new technologies and offer insights on how these innovations can improve system performance and efficiency.
- Contribute to operational support, including service transition, change/release management, and incident resolution, following ITIL best practices.
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure management, particularly Azure (Iaa S, Paa S).
- Strong background in managing virtualisation technologies and Microsoft applications.
- Expertise in system monitoring, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with security best practices and risk management
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (e.g. Power Shell).
- Understanding of ITIL processes
- Ability to provide coaching to team members and guide junior staff.
- A proactive, innovative mindset, with a passion for staying ahead of technology trends.
