The Senior Lecturer at Acknowledge Education plays a vital role in enhancing teaching practices, ensuring academic success, and leading the ongoing development of courses. This position involves taking a leadership role, providing guidance to program faculty, and overseeing the organization and delivery of a compliant higher education program. The Senior Lecturer is expected to actively contribute to at least 60% of the course units, emphasizing hands-on involvement in the educational process.
About the Role

• Coordinate academic faculty to uphold program standards and regulatory compliance.
• Manage curriculum updates and ensure timely distribution of teaching materials.
• Oversee assessment processes and ensure alignment with learning outcomes.
• Deliver high-quality teaching services and provide timely student feedback.
• Identify and support at-risk students, assisting with interventions as needed.
• Participate in moderation processes and contribute to program delivery activities.
• Pursue professional development in teaching and relevant disciplines.
• Report incidents and ensure adherence to health, safety, and ethical standards.
• Maintain professional conduct and respond to student inquiries promptly.
• Collaborate with colleagues and engage in teaching evaluation and improvement efforts.

About You

• A post-graduate qualification in the discipline area.
• Have at least two (2) FTE years post-qualification relevant industry experience, specifically related to areas of proposed teaching.
• Be prepared to undertake at least 20 hours of continued professional development each year.
• A strong understanding of theory and practice in the relevant discipline.
• Eligibility for AASW.
• Completion, or enrolment in Ph D is desirable.
• Relevant tertiary teaching experience with demonstrated teaching achievements and results.
• The ability to improve teaching methods and the ability and willingness to use technology or other innovative strategies for teaching and learning and for engaging students.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability and willingness to contribute to professional collaborations and academic administration.
