Our client's finance team is seeking an internal auditor to work on a special project. Based in Melbourne you will be responsible for providing hands-on assistance in conducting and assisting internal audits and reviews. Being mainly high volume retail cash transactions, you will undertake internal audits and draft findings with value-adding insights, highlighting any issues and recommendations to mitigate risk and identify cost savings.

Suitable candidates will have previous experience as an internal or external auditor with advanced computer skills on MS Office, account software and databases and Excel. You will have the ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile reports. You will have a high attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills. You will have a proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations with strong organisational skills. You will be able to analyse information and solve problems, demonstrate resourcefulness, perseverance and accountability. You may have a background with one of the big 4 professional services companies.
