The role…
Global Data is currently looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Manager (New Logo) in our growing global sales team, representing the Global Data Energy & Industrials Practice covering Power Generation,
Construction, Mining, Renewables & Oil & Gas. You will be an energetic, driven and reward-motivated salesperson located in our Sydney, Australia office in a hybrid role selling to APAC territory.
What you’ll be doing:
- Selling high-value, specialised information solutions to clients. Solutions which deliver Sales Intelligence, Strategy Intelligence, Market Intelligence, Competitor Intelligence & Innovation Intelligence outcomes to our new logo prospects in the Energy & Industrials sectors across APAC
- Huge sales territory encompassing the whole of ANZ & South-East Asia markets.
- Conduct effective business development activity primarily via outbound phone combined with live online demonstrations.
- Achieve monthly new business targets.
- Identify key prospect objectives and present a winning solution offering.
- 3-5+ years of proven BDM/new logo sales experience in the sectors of either Information services/Data analytics or media/subscription sales.
- Experience selling into the large scale Mining, Construction, and Industrials sector or similar preferred.
- Hunter mentality, with the desire to build a professional career in the Information Services industry and a growth mindset.
- Proven history of hitting sales quotas and KPI’s including achieving monthly/quarterly/annual quota’s consistently
- High level of proficiency in written & spoken English
- Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to articulate a compelling message and influence, persuade and negotiate with all levels of people to achieve win-win situations.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills. Experience facilitating strong C-level meetings.
- Effective prioritisation and time management skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite & Salesforce or similar
- Strong Earning Potential – Generous New Business Commission Scheme with Realistic Targets – OTE on offer of AUD 190,000 – 220,000 with uncapped commissions and a 60/40 split!
