As the PVC Extrusion Plant Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations in our PVC decking extrusion facility. This includes ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining quality standards, optimizing efficiency, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in PVC extrusion manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of successful production management, including experience in managing a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
• Strong understanding of PVC extrusion processes, equipment, and quality control principles.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage a diverse team and foster a positive work environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the PVC extrusion plant that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to achieve production targets and meet customer demands.
• Coordinate production activities, including line set according to schedule, material, and manpower allocation.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure adherence to quality control standards throughout the production process.
• Implement measures to continuously improve product quality and consistency.

Safety and Compliance:

• Uphold safety regulations and procedures to create a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and motivate a team of production staff, including supervisors and operators.
• Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team performance and skills.

Process Optimization:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and practices to optimize production processes.

Inventory Management:

• Working with planning group manage schedule compliance to ensure inventory levels to meet production requirements and minimize excess stock.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely supply of materials.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues and maintain equipment reliability.

Budget and Cost Management:

• Manage production budgets and expenses to achieve cost-effective operations.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining production efficiency and quality standards.

Continuous Improvement:

• Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
