Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse person / Delivery Driver to join our warehouse team based at our Wardle depot, Nantwich, CW5 6BJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a newly awarded Government contract and offers the opportunity to service a high-profile customer, supplying materials to various locations throughout the UK. As such we are looking for a dedicated, experienced individual, who can manage the contract demands.
The role has two distinct parts. The first involves working at the warehouse based in Nantwich, managing goods in, inspection, stock movement, including order picking and the preparation of dispatch paperwork. The second part of the role involves the delivery of goods to Government establishments around the UK. Currently we envisage the role to be split 50:50 between warehouse working and deliveries.
The successful candidate will have experience of warehouse processes and procedure, and exposure to warehouse management systems, (WMS). Ideally, they will also hold current FLT, counterbalance and reach truck licence or be prepared to undergo training to attain these. Finally they must hold a current class 2 driving licence and up to date with their driver CPC accreditation.

Duties
- Manage the receiving processes, verifying incoming shipments.
- Manage stock levels, ensuring that inventory is organised and readily accessible.
- Utilise the Warehouse Management System for inventory management and tracking purposes.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load and unload goods safely.
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver orders to Government establishments around the UK.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to maintain safety standards.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Experience in warehouse operations, including picking, packing, stock management, shipping, and receiving.
- Valid class 2 driving licence with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Ability to operate a forklift; certification is an advantage but not essential as training may be provided.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
