Support Worker / Care (BN22)
Eastbourne
FULL TIME

SDR Care is a growing business with care homes situated on the South Coast. We pride ourselves on investing in our people and we are committed to the UK Living Wage Foundation. We aim to continuously train and develop our staff to enable them to reach their full potential within our collaborative and supportive team.
An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team of Support Workers at one of our homes in Eastbourne. The homes specialise in person-centred care for people with learning difficulties and autism.
The individuals you will be working with enjoy lots of different activities. Some of the things they most enjoy doing are; taking trips to the London science museum. Going to the zoo. Some of them enjoy getting their nails done. On other days they enjoy watching horror movies. Some individuals have a real passion for watching sport and documentaries. Our days are consistently busy, and never dull!
Every day is different and you will be out and about attending social events, playing games, and keeping active with the individuals in this house. You will spend a lot of time laughing and enjoying your time with the service users, making your role incredibly rewarding. Our mission is to empower our residents to lead independent, fulfilling, and enjoyable lives. As a member of our dedicated support team, you’ll play a crucial role in achieving this goal.
We are looking for people who may have experience of working with adults with learning difficulties and autism. You will be a great addition to the team if you enjoy working and interacting with people, have the right personality and share the same values as us. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, effective communicators, with high standards of care, and who are sensitive to the needs of people with learning disabilities.
We are looking to recruit both Days and Nights.
Day working hours are 40 hours per week, on a rotational shift pattern. This will be a varied shift pattern including weekdays and weekends; a flexible approach to work is essential.
Night working hours are 36 hours per week (3 x 12 hour shifts), fixed set shifts.
Our Values form an integral part of our business and as such we would seek applicants that can demonstrate:
Kindness, Dignity & Respect
