QA Tester

About the Role:
Are you passionate about quality and eager to ensure the highest standards for software products? As a QA Tester, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our products. You will develop and execute comprehensive test plans, identify and document defects, and collaborate closely with the development team to resolve issues. Additionally, you will demonstrate new functionalities to stakeholders, ensuring their requirements are met and their feedback is incorporated.
What You’ll Do:

• Develop and Execute Test Plans: Create detailed test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications, ensuring thorough coverage and accuracy.

• Conduct Manual and Automated Testing: Perform extensive manual testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications, as well as maintain and update automated test scripts to ensure their effectiveness.

• Identify and Document Defects: Meticulously identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring they are addressed promptly and effectively.

• Perform Regression Testing: Conduct rigorous regression testing to verify that recent changes haven’t negatively affected existing functionalities.

• Collaborate with the Development Team: Work closely with developers and the product manager to understand requirements, resolve issues, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Maintain Documentation: Create and amend documentation for new and modified functionalities, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

• Assist with Release Testing: Help with release installation testing and preparation, ensuring smooth deployments.

• Demonstrate New Functionalities: Present new features to stakeholders, gather their feedback, and ensure their needs are met.

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
You should apply if:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a QA tester.
• Proficiency in various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting languages.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in testing ERP systems.
• Proficiency with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Test Complete).
• Experience with Visual Studio and Azure Dev Ops.
• Knowledge of performance and/or security testing is an advantage.
• ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
