We’ve got an exciting opening for a Principal Robotic Architect that will be responsible for the technical design and programming of future robotic systems. We focus on outcomes that solve real needs for our partners and customers.
You will be working closely with the mechanical development and virtual reality teams. You will be part of a rapid prototype development cycle and benefit from modern in-house development facilities.

Roles & Responsibilities:
You will work tightly with production gaming, telepresence team and project management team. You will be responsible for:
· You will own a few core-capabilities development of our next generation robotic control and AI software, aiming to advance the state-of-the-art.
· Define and setup foundational architecture at the software level to deliver robustness and scalability at production quality.
· You will work closely with product team to integrate the capabilities into the flagship products.
· Contribute to the product roadmap and technology plan and project proposals.
· Produce packaged libraries and technical documents.
Requirements:
· Expert in high performance real-time robotic control, perception and navigation tasks.
· Expert experience on inverse kinematics/dynamics applied in force and full-body control scenarios, such as bio-Ik
· Strong control theory such as MPC and modern learning-based control.
· Experience in human-robot interactions, such as hand retargeting and full body mapping control.
· Expert experience of ROS2 architecture, with knowledge of standard ROS packages, such as Move It! and
· C++, C# in Unity, python, Linux bash scripts.
· Experience working with agile development practices, git version control, Travis CI and build farm.
· Experience on Git Hub, Git Book, Jira
· Able to listen, absorb new ideas and extrapolate novel solutions.
· Passionate about robotics and willing to tackle exciting challenges.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills presentation skills
· Fluency in English

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
Additional pay:

- Reading: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Agile development practices: 2 years (preferred)
