Pay: SO1, Scale Point 23-25 (subject to pay evaluation in the New Year)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37, Monday to Friday, working flexibly within this to meet the needs of the service

Location: Sir Henry Mitchell House, Bradford
Hybrid Working Option: At this time the team work in the office together one day per week, and the remainder of the week have the option to work hybrid.

About The Role
  • The Placement Coordination Service is a busy yet rewarding service to be a part of.
  • The Placements Brokerage Support Officer is a new and crucial role that will link the part of the service responsible for finding placements with the part of the service responsible for recording, paying and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • The role will give the postholder a strong foundation of learning the commissioning and contractual sides of placements brokerage and will be a good developmental role for someone wanting to progress a career in commissioning, contract management and/or placements finding.
  • The service is busy and demand-led, but there is strong support from a fantastic team.
Key Responsibilities
The Placements Brokerage Support Officer will be responsible for:
  • Providing projects support to ongoing placements projects linked to significant financial savings targets which are focussed on ensuring children are in the right placements.
  • Supporting with the development and implementation of a placements funding approval tracking system, and ensuring timely approvals are given.
  • Providing support as we develop our internal systems and processes for placement recording and payments.
  • Placements brokerage data recording quality in line with commissioning and contractual requirements.
  • Placements brokerage data collation, analysis and reporting.
  • Checking timesheets, rotas and other relevant documentation where staffing agencies are being used to support placements.
  • Supporting and advising team members when needed around Individual Placement Agreements.
  • Linking both sides of the service to ensure that any queries that may impact on compliance or delay payments to providers are able to be resolved proactively and promptly.
About You
  • The best placements teams are made up of a variety of people with a mixture of skills, experiences and qualifications.
  • This role requires someone who is organised, efficient, hard-working and able to problem-solve.
  • You will need to have a keen eye for detail, as well as an ability to learn technical commissioning and contractual information and
  • these to the role.
  • Accuracy of recording will be key, and you’ll need to be able to demonstrate advanced Excel skills and have a range of experience of different recording systems.
  • Good communication skills are essential as is the ability to build strong working relationships;
  • Experience of project support would be beneficial.
  • Values in line with the Trust’s values and a strong work ethic are key.
