Maesglas Care Home is situated in the village of Holt, Wrexham. We currently have opportunities for Housekeeping and Laundry Assistants to join our lovely home and be a part of our friendly team. We take pride in providing a welcoming and clean environment for our residents and their visitors, our housekeeping and laundry staff play a valuable and key role in achieving this. You should be able to show an understanding of Health & Safety, Infection Control, COSHH and the safe storage and handling of cleaning products.
We currently have 12 hours (2-3 days a week, 4 - 6 hours a day) working between Monday and Sunday, you will have weekends off in rotation (currently every other weekend), however you may be asked on occasions to help cover extra shifts for absences.
Please be aware that the location of the home means that there is very limited public transport so applicants are advised that they should either hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle or have some other reliable means of getting to work.

Your duties may include (but are not limited to):

• General cleaning duties around the home and residents bedrooms, including bathrooms and toilets
• Making sure that all areas of the home are tidy and presentable
• Deep cleaning around the home periodically
• Laundry services including washing, drying and ironing,

On successful completion of a 6 month probationary period, staff have access to a healthcare benefits scheme. There is a small enhancement on hourly rates for weekends and Public Holidays.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS (Dislosure & Barring Services ) check, the cost of which will be met by the candidate (currently £48) this can be paid through wages if preferred.
