We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in home care settings. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and families. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between care locations.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity while providing compassionate care.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.
- Follow care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Document client progress and any changes in their condition accurately using IT systems.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge within the role.
- Drive to various locations as required to provide care services.
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Previous experience in home care or a care home environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise and build rapport with clients.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- A valid driving licence is essential for travel between client locations.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health and safety regulations.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £23,800.00-£25,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
