Engineer required in the Midlands to join a world-leading machine tool manufacturer. Ideally based along the M1 corridor near Northampton, the role involves the installation of new machines, servicing, breakdown repairs, and troubleshooting. This is a customer-facing position with a company vehicle provided and a competitive package including pension and health care.
Requirements and Responsibilities
Location: Ideally based near Northampton along the M1 corridor, with the flexibility to travel across the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, and Ireland as required.
Technical Expertise: Experience with CNC machine repair or operations; ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Servicing and Maintenance: Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools and controls. Promote and perform preventative maintenance on customers' equipment.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and customer interactions.
Documentation: Complete and submit detailed service reports to the office and customers.
Physical Requirements: Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including flexible hours and frequent travel.
Professional Development: Willingness to learn and stay updated on industry trends and company product lines.
