Hellenic Foods UK is a small family-run wholesaler business that takes pride in taking a non-judgmental stand toward our staff and clients and treats everyone with respect and consideration as if they were family too.
What we do:
We are a fast-growing business that supply ambient, chilled, and frozen Traditional Greek & Cypriot Food and Drink throughout the United Kingdom, predominantly covering the Northwest. We select only the finest, well-trusted Greek suppliers to then distribute and sell our product to restaurants, canteens, shops, and delis. We have managed to build a trusted clientele since openinin back in 2015 which that continues to grow year on year. Therefore we are looking to expand our hardworking team even further with additional drivers.
What your role will do
As a Driver you will be working predominantly on the road picking loading and unloading frozen chilled and ambient food products while maintaining excellent customer service. Schedules may fluctuate, so there may be some later finishes and full training will be provided upon starting. Usual start times between 6am/7am/8am with finish times depending on the route and traffic. Standard driving routes every week.

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to our loyal customers. This is a crucial role in our family business, as you will play a key part in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Duties:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload items from the vehicle
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and signatures
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed
- Perform heavy lifting when required (30kg)
- Physically able to pick and pack products for deliveries
- Deliver frozen/chilled/room-temperature food and drinks to our reputable customers (restaurants, takeout businesses, and delis).
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Familiarity with local roads and routes
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation tools
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
