Ciklum is looking for a Senior General QA Engineer (Back End Testing) to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:
As a Senior General QA Engineer (Back End Testing), become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
This role will require a mix of both manual and automated testing, where 60% of your capacity will be dedicated to test automation, while the other 40% will be focused on manual exploratory testing. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of API testing, contract testing, and integration testing, with a strong background in Java-based automation frameworks. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic and complex environment involving both low code/no code solutions and traditional testing approaches.

transformation. By leveraging advanced web portals, mobile applications, CRM systems, predictive analytics, and AI, our dynamic team aims to enhance and streamline core services for government officials, the legal ecosystem, and citizens.
Our primary focus is on ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and adherence to rigorous performance and security standards.
Responsibilities

• Test Automation (60%):
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java Spring and REST Assured for backend API testing
  • Create automated tests for APIs, ensuring comprehensive coverage and robust validation
  • Perform and automate contract testing to validate interactions between services and ensure they meet agreed-upon interfaces
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements and feature specifications
  • Integrate the automated test suite into the CI/CD pipeline
• Manual Testing (40%):
  • Execute manual test cases, especially for low code/no code solutions that require in-depth business knowledge
  • Validate complex business workflows, decision trees, and customized processes to ensure they meet functional requirements
  • Conduct regression, exploratory, and system integration testing to ensure robustness
  • Work closely with functional consultants and developers to identify gaps and provide feedback during the early stages of feature development

Requirements

• Technical Skills:
  • Test Automation: Proficiency in Java, Spring, and REST Assured for API testing. Ability to create test automation solutions from scratch
  • API Testing: Strong experience with API testing, including integration and contract testing
  • CI/CD Tools: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and hands-on experience integrating test suites into them. CI/CD stack includes Git Lab, YAML, Power Shell, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform
  • Manual Testing: Ability to understand and navigate complex low code/no code platforms like Flow On to verify workflows and configurations
  • Database: Experience with MS-SQL
  • OS: Experience with virtualization and working with VMWare
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on both manual and automated testing
  • Strong background in testing APIs, including integration and contract testing
  • Experience with Java Spring frameworks and REST Assured for API automation
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and collaborating across teams
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to stand ground for the QA and advocate for QA practices

Desirable

• Experience working with Liferay DXP and Dynamics 365 CRM
• Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops (similar to Jira) for task management and tracking QA processes
