What you’ll do

The IT Governance Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in steering the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the IT department. They will be responsible for spearheading governance protocols, cultivating vendor relationships, and ensuring budgetary compliance to align with organizational objectives. Additionally, they will oversee the successful execution of internal IT projects that do not fall under the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role will collaborate closely with the CIO to establish and implement policies that nurture innovation, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards and best practices.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in IT Governance, Project Management (e.g., PMP), or ITIL are advantageous.
• Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in IT governance or related roles
• Demonstrated experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and executing internal IT projects.
• Extensive knowledge of the telecom industry, inclusive of current trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies.
• Familiarity with international standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, COBIT, and ITIL.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in IT governance and project management.
• Ability to develop long-term strategies and operational plans that align with organizational objectives and industry trends.
• Capacity to align IT strategies with business goals to drive organizational success.
• Sound financial management skills, capable of developing and managing budgets effectively to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights to steer strategic financial decisions.
• Exceptional project management skills, adept at planning, executing, and overseeing projects from inception to completion within stipulated timelines and budgets.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or other project management methodologies, showcasing adaptability in managing diverse projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage with senior management and external partners.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.
