Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a local business strategy that aligns with the company’s global goals, driving growth and market expansion.
- Oversee daily operations across all functions, including customer service, marketing, sales, finance, and IT, ensuring processes are efficient and objectives are met.
- Ensure the business complies with all local regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and other relevant financial regulations. Serve as the primary liaison with local regulatory authorities.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks. Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, payment providers, financial institutions, and business partners to support operational needs.
- Drive customer growth by collaborating with marketing and product teams to implement local campaigns, promotions, and community engagement strategies.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze metrics, and prepare reports for senior management. Implement corrective actions when targets are not met.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the local team. Ensure effective communication across departments and foster a culture of compliance and operational excellence.
- Experience with digital wallets, payment solutions, or blockchain technology.
- Background in compliance management or legal advisory roles.
- Familiarity with MASAK regulations (if applicable) and other international crypto compliance standards.
- Established network within the local financial services industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in business management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the fintech, financial services, or crypto industry.
- Strong understanding of local cryptocurrency regulations, financial compliance, and operational management.
- Experience working with regulatory authorities and handling compliance-related matters.
- Proven ability to optimize operations and implement efficient processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in Turkish and English.
