Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with 7+ years of experience in PHP development and a strong background in e Commerce platforms and API integrations. If you're passionate about solving complex problems, leading innovative projects, and making a significant impact in the e Commerce space, we want to meet you.


Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Scalable Applications: Architect and develop high-performance web applications using PHP, with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
• Lead Headless e Commerce Projects: Spearhead headless implementations, ensuring seamless integration between frontend and backend services.
• Custom Development: Build custom functionalities and modules for e Commerce platforms like Shopify, Big Commerce, Magento, and Woo Commerce.
• Data Migration Expertise: Execute complex data migration projects, accurately transferring large datasets across platforms.
• API & Microservice Development: Design and optimize APIs, microservices, and backend processes to facilitate smooth platform integrations.
• Code Enhancement & Troubleshooting: Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance existing code to improve performance and scalability.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with project managers, front-end developers, and UX/UI designers to deliver complete and optimized solutions.
• Stay Current: Keep up with the latest technologies, frameworks, and best practices to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
• Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented code that adheres to industry standards and promotes sustainability.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional backend development experience with a focus on PHP.
• Expertise in PHP frameworks like Laravel or Symfony.
• Proven experience working with e Commerce platforms such as Shopify, Big Commerce, Woo Commerce, or Magento, with specific knowledge of their APIs and headless architectures.
• Strong expertise in building and consuming APIs, microservices, and handling third-party integrations.
• Experience in data migration projects involving large datasets.
• Proficient with Git and version control systems.
• Familiarity with Search Engine technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Algolia, Meilisearch).
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis, Memcached).
• Strong grasp of SQL, No SQL, and database optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with modern Dev Ops practices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role is a plus.
• Understanding of headless architecture and experience implementing it with technologies like Next.js or Nuxt.js.
• Experience developing headless CMS solutions like Strapi, Contentful, or Sanity.
