Our award-winning destination wine estate in the heart of the Cape Winelands is seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead our kitchen and elevate our restaurant to new heights. Reporting into the Executive Chef of the Estate.

Key Responsibilities

Menu Development: Design innovative, seasonal menus that pair harmoniously with our wines, highlighting local and sustainable ingredients.
Team Leadership: Inspire and manage a talented kitchen team, fostering growth, collaboration, and excellence.
Kitchen Operations: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to health and safety standards.
Guest Experience: Work closely with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional dining journey for every guest.
Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with local farmers and suppliers to source the best ingredients.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-end establishment.
Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and team development.
A deep understanding of pairing food with wine and knowledge of South African culinary trends.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Creativity, innovation, and a commitment to sustainability and local sourcing.
