Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Lecture and assess distance learning students in the Advanced Diploma in Technical & Vocational Teaching in one or more of the following modules:
>Delivering a vocational curriculum and navigating assessment protocols
>Understanding general pedagogic principles and theories
>Psychology of Education in a Vocational Context
>Reflections on the vocational context
>Sociology of the South African Vocational Context
>Designing a signature pedagogy in a vocational context
>Teaching in a vocational field - defining a vocational pedagogy
>WIL - Workplace-based learning
Perform the role and responsibilities of a lecturer.
Compile teaching, learning, and assessment materials.
Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to develop and deliver modules.
Provide academic support to students.
Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to the modules and programmes.
Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of management.
Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and SOPs.
Participate in and attend meetings and workshops.
Fulfil functions on relevant committees, and in meetings and workshops as reasonably requested by management.
Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager.
REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements | Qualifications:
At least 5 years teaching and/or lecturing experience in the tertiary (TVET) sector in the relevant phases and disciplines.
Minimum Bachelor (Honours) or equivalent qualification with relevant study in a vocational subject.
PGCE or other relevant professional teaching qualification
Experience in online and blended teaching and learning environments.
A strong background in subject content of the relevant module(s).
Clear understanding of the TVET sector.
