The Opportunity
As a member of the Finance and Accounts team, you will report directly to the Finance and Accounting Manager. Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to, the following areas:

Customer Collections Management

• Allocate collections in the accounting system according to various payment modes.
• Manage cash and cheque collections, including banking operations.

Accounts Receivable Financial Transactions

• Process daily financial transactions, including the issuance of invoices and debit/credit vouchers.
• Oversee transactions related to used car transfers, customer deposits, and voided receipts.
• Handle processing of customer refund vouchers efficiently.

Collaboration with Operations

• Liaise with operational staff regarding receivable matters such as invoicing and collections, providing necessary support and guidance.

Currency Revaluation

• Conduct system currency revaluation as part of the month-end closing process.

Journal Preparation

• Prepare and post monthly and quarterly receivable journals in line with month-end closing activities.

Reconciliation Activities

• Perform receivable and bank reconciliations at month-end.

Reporting

• Generate accounts receivable aging reports and analyze them by department for month-end closing.
• Compile quarterly and yearly consolidated financial packs along with tax package schedules.

Stock Taking Participation

• Participate in quarterly and annual stock takes as needed.

Finance Transformation Initiatives

• Engage in the implementation of new accounting systems.
• Take the initiative to support finance transformation projects.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects or other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Candidates should hold a Diploma or a professional qualification in Accounting.
• Candidates are expected to have 3 to 5 years of direct accounting experience.
• The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, capable of working independently while meeting established deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• The candidate should demonstrate enthusiasm, focus, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• A capacity to manage ambiguity and maintain confidentiality is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly advanced skills in MS Excel, is necessary.
