Safety Supervisor – Pipeline Projects

Job Overview:
The Safety Supervisor will oversee and enforce safety standards during pipeline construction and related activities within NEOM. The role ensures compliance with local regulations, international safety standards, and project-specific guidelines to create a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities: Safety Compliance and Monitoring:

• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor pipeline construction activities, ensuring compliance with occupational safety and environmental regulations.
• Ensure compliance with NEOM's unique sustainability and safety standards.

Training and Development:

• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to workers and contractors.
• Identify safety training needs and implement programs to address them.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk management.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

• Identify and assess potential safety hazards in pipeline construction projects.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for high-risk activities.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Incident Management:

• Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Implement preventative measures to avoid recurrence.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian labor laws and international safety standards.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and participate in audits.
• Maintain accurate documentation for safety compliance and reporting.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align safety practices with project goals.
• Report safety performance and concerns to senior management.
• Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to policy development.

Qualifications: Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in safety management within construction or pipeline projects.
• Experience in large-scale, high-profile projects like NEOM or similar is a plus.

Certifications:

• NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent.
• OSHA certification is desirable.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of pipeline construction processes and related safety challenges.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
