Teacher of Geography / Humanities (Extended Maternity Cover)
GEMS Wellington School is currently looking for a hard-working and talented individual to join our Secondary Humanities team, as a temporary teacher of Geography and KS3 Humanities. This position is available because of the current potholder taking extended maternity leave. The period would run from January until June 2025.
This opportunity is ideally suited for a local candidate, looking for supply work for a limited period of time.
They will possess the skills, passion and creativity to contribute to an inclusive, high-performing Humanities department across the secondary school. Candidates should have a passion for education, engage with current pedagogy and have a proven track record of outstanding practice.

· Be knowledgeable of and confident in the use of proven, effective teaching and learning methodologies, yet with the ability to ‘think outside of the box’ and be open to new approaches

Qualifications and Experience – The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience. They will also have an appropriate teaching degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
