Job Summary:
The HR Officer will be responsible for managing human resources operations for a group of companies in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry, specifically restaurants. This role requires a dynamic and dedicated HR professional with a strong background in HR practices, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced F&B environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Recruitment and Onboarding:
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for all restaurant positions, including chefs, kitchen staff, servers, and managers.
• Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and manage the hiring process.
• Lead new employee orientations to ensure smooth onboarding and an excellent introduction to the company culture.
• Employee Relations:
• Serve as the point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and workplace issues.
• Mediate and resolve conflicts between staff members in a professional and confidential manner.
• Promote a positive workplace culture, ensuring high levels of employee morale and satisfaction, especially in the high-pressure F&B setting.
• Performance Management:
• Develop and implement performance management systems tailored to the F&B sector.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback to both front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
• Address performance issues promptly, focusing on improving efficiency, customer service, and team dynamics.
• Compliance and Record-Keeping:
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and industry-specific regulations (e.g., health and safety standards, food safety regulations).
• Maintain accurate employee records and prepare required HR reports and documentation.
• Compensation and Benefits:
• Conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation and benefits packages for F&B employees.
• Address employee questions and concerns regarding compensation, benefits, and incentives.
• Training and Development:
• Coordinate training programs for all staff, focusing on customer service excellence, food safety, health standards, and company policies.
• Organize ongoing training and development initiatives to improve employee skills, efficiency, and team performance.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as necessary to meet operational needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
• Experience with SAP or HRIS systems.
• Knowledge of Qatar Labor Law and F&B industry regulations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage employee relations in a high-paced F&B environment.
• High level of discretion, professionalism, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
