Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Linux Adminstrator to manage our video streaming workflows from end to end, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and scalable streaming services across platforms.
Key Responsibilities

• Streaming Setup: Design and maintain live/on-demand streaming workflows, including video encoding, transcoding, and packaging using tools like FFmpeg and AWS Elemental.
• Protocols and Distribution: Implement ingest protocols (e.g., SRT, RTMP) and optimize content distribution over CDNs (e.g., Akamai, Cloudflare).
• Transcoding & Encoding: Configure transcoding pipelines, bitrate settings, and adaptive streaming for optimal quality across devices and networks.
• Integration & Deployment: Work with CDNs for global distribution, set up ad insertion workflows, and deploy streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, Web RTC).
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Use tools like Grafana and Prometheus to monitor streams, address latency, buffering, and network issues in real time.
• Collaboration: Partner with video production and IT teams to support events and optimize workflows.
• Optimization & Scalability: Enhance streaming infrastructure performance, with load balancing and failover for scalability.
• Documentation & Compliance: Document workflows, system configurations, and ensure compliance with video standards.

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years in streaming engineering or a similar role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, RTMP, SRT); experience with encoding/transcoding tools (FFmpeg, AWS Media Services); CDN management.
• Additional Skills: Knowledge of audio/video codecs (H.264, H.265), adaptive bitrate streaming, scripting (Python, Bash), and troubleshooting live events.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), DRM, and ad insertion methods.
