We Are Recruiting To Fill The Position Below;
Job Title: Business Development Specialist
Location: Port Harcourt
Business: Broadcast Station
Salary: 150,000 (Negotiable)
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for actively seeking out and engaging customer prospects to sell our media services for a broadcast station and secure adverts & sponsored programmes for the station.
Duties / Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in the media broadcast market to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by providing exceptional service and tailored solutions to clients.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and understand the competitive landscape.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients, showcasing the company's capabilities and benefits.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and work closely with the operations team to ensure fulfillment of agreed-upon services.
  • Regularly meet with key accounts to understand their ongoing needs and to ensure their expectations are being met by the company's services.
  • Proactively manage customer issues and concerns, working collaboratively with other departments to resolve them promptly.
  • Collaborate with others to create targeted sales campaigns, promotional materials, and other marketing strategies to attract new customers.
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to provide clients with informed recommendations.
  • Conduct post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction, encourage repeat business, and obtain customer referrals.
  • Utilize a system to manage sales pipeline, document customer interactions, and generate sales reports for management review.
Requirements / Skill
  • Proven business development experience in radio or television stations, particularly in Port Harcourt.
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and the ability to close sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in managing multiple accounts effectively.
  • Must be results-driven and have a consistent track record of achieving revenue targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From ₦150,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Port Harcourt: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
