We are proud to partner with a locally owned civil contractor in Canterbury seeking a professional and hands on Project Manager. You will be leading $5 - $10M projects across civil construction and 3 waters. With a robust pipeline of private and public projects, this is the perfect opportunity to make your mark in the New Year.

The role will cover:

• Large scale earthworks
• 3 waters and drainage
• Subdivision construction

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee projects from initiation to completion.
• Collaborate with staff, contractors, and subcontractors for seamless project delivery.
• Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, NZ 3910, and environmental regulations.
• Provide clear and concise progress reports to stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent qualifications (e.g., National Diploma in Engineering, NZCE).
• Proven experience delivering civil projects on time, within scope, and budget.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Financial acumen and organisational discipline.
• Focus to Health and Safety and Quality.
• Current driver’s license.
• Shows initiative, motivation, and has a drive to succeed.
