Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic Discover Waitomo team. This role focuses on revenue management and involves handling large volumes of diverse transactions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payment processing and collections.
- Handle large volumes of diverse transactions with precision and efficiency.
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyse accounts receivable aging reports and provide regular updates to management.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address billing issues and improve the collections process.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounts receivable policies and procedures.
- Conduct credit checks on new and existing customers to assess creditworthiness.
- Manage and optimise revenue systems to ensure accurate and efficient revenue recognition.
- Develop and maintain revenue-related reports and dashboards for management review.
- Collaborate with IT and wider finance teams to implement and enhance revenue management systems.
- Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards and regulations.
- Identify and resolve issues related to revenue systems and processes.
- Analyse revenue data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue.
Skills:
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role.
- Completed or working towards relevant tertiary qualification
- Strong understanding of accounting and revenue management principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and accuracy.
- Ability to handle large volumes of transactions accurately.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Dynamics 365 and Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
